1. Exterior
When choosing exterior products for your home, make sure you go with durable products, like brick, stone or vinyl siding. Aluminum soffits and fascia are an excellent choice, as well as a quality architectural shingle roof.
2. Easy to clean floors
Carpet is obviously harder to clean than a solid floor, and large tiles are easier to clean than small ones because there is less grout. Hardwood, tile, and natural stone are popular because they’re easy to clean, things don’t get stuck in the surface, and they require little maintenance.
3. Countertops & Sinks
Solid surface counters are easier to clean than tiles because of grout. Choose a slab with a pattern rather than a solid color so that it won’t show crumbs, rings, or knicks as easily. Additionally, be aware of required maintenance. For instance, some solid surfaces, such as granite, may need to be sealed occasionally.

4. Furniture
Choose furniture that is durable and easy to clean. Leather is easy to wipe off when the kids spill. However, it may scratch if you have pets with sharp nails. Whatever upholstery you pick, avoid white and ivory, which stain easily.

5. Decor
